CSU Annual Flower Trial Garden 2010 Part III

This is a mishmash of photos, some for design and some for texture. For more information about the Annual Flower Trial Garden at Colorado State University, visit the official website. For now, I want to show you shapes:

And intricate designs:

Design with more color:

A shape and color combination that draws the eye:

Arranging the garden in pots for flexibility:

Using interesting textures like this fluffy stuff next to spiky grasses:

Then there's this aggressive guy from yesterday who insisted on showing you that his fluff was fluffier than the green fluff above:

Isn't that red amazing?

That's all. Tomorrow I hope to be back on topic: writing, writers, books, procrastination, and chocolate, not necessarily in that order. Have a great day!

I love the photos! They remind me of the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond.

Oh how gorgeous! They are as breathtaking as the Biltmore Gardens in Asheville, N.C.!

The beautiful Montreal Botanical Gardens are worth a visit, too (assuming it's still there since it was many years ago that I visited Quebec).

Beautiful... I love flower photography. I'm no good at growing them, but I can take pictures of them! Well done. :-)

Nobody does flowers as well as you do, Patricia. Every single photograph is a gem.

Lovely posts, Patricia and inspiring photos. Reassuring for me too. I thought my wife was the only person in the world who 'gardened' via flower pots. It has been a super spring/summer here in Europe for flowers following a terrible winter. Funny old world!
