Wednesday Bits and Pieces

Tomorrow's Guest Blogger

I'll be introducing the Midlife Crisis Queen, Colorado writer Laura Lee Carter. The rest of us can talk about reinventing ourselves, but Laura Lee really knows how it's done.

The Desert Hedge Murders paperback

If all is well, you should be able to order the mass market paperback edition starting today at Harlequin Worldwide's online bookstore.

Robin Spano's blog book tour

Robin's tour begins today at Mystery Writers Ink. Here's the link to her tour schedule. Can you resist learning more about a mystery called The Dead Politician Society? I sure can't.

Sylvia Dickey Smith's blog book tour

Sylvia's virtual tour continues. Today she's at I'd So Rather Be Reading. A War of Her Own officially releases tomorrow, but I think it's already shipping from amazon.com.

Snapshots of Bombay

Many of you already follow Rayna M. Iyer's blog Coffee Rings Everywhere, but have you been to her photo blog Snapshots of Bombay?

Margaret Coel

Today, one of my favorite Colorado mystery authors, Margaret Coel, is the guest on the blog of another favorite Colorado mystery author, Beth Groundwater.

Circle of Friends Award

My dear blogger friend Yvonne Lewis at Welcome to My World of Poetry has given me a Circle of Friends Award. I couldn't be more honored. There seem to be no special rules to go with this award, except to pass it on. Since I've already awarded this gift to five blogger friends in January, I'll simply reserve the right to retrieve it and send it out into the world again sometime in the future. Thanks, Yvonne, I really appreciate it.

Back to Work

I have my nose to the grindstone this week, so must get back to work. I hope to see you tomorrow for Laura Lee's post.

Thank you for the mention, Patricia. You are a true friend.

And I am going to see if I can order Prairie Grass Murders and Desert Hedge Murders in India. When I last checked, I couldn't, but things may have changed in the last few weeks.

Thanks for the kind words. And if any of you have a new release or a blog book tour, be sure to let me know.

And for those of you who cannot invest in one more book until you read through the stacks you already have, it's just as cool to put in a request for your library to order an author's book. Writers love having their books in libraries.

Rayna, you probably won't be able to get "The Prairie Grass Murders" in India. The hardcover and paperback are now out of print, so the audiobook and MP3 download are the only things available...until I get the Kindle edition ready. I'm having the cover art designed for that, so maybe in a month or two we'll have an ebook. Since you can download the Kindle application free to your computer, that's going to be the best way for those of us with smaller publishers to spread our works around the world.

This is like the "Weekly Updates" in our old village newsletter. No tears but I enjoyed this.

Patricia - I'm looking forward to tomorrow's guest blogger : ). And it's nice to see that new edition of The Desert Hedge Murders which, by the way, I thoroughly enjoyed : ).

Rayna's photos are really stunning, and they tell us so much about life in her country. They make me want to go downtown and see if I can find that kind of color and intriguing subject matter here in Northern Colorado. Could be a challenge!
