Wednesday Scramble

Tomorrow's Guest Blogger

I'll be introducing Ashley March who writes historical romance set in Victorian England. Ashley's post is about discovering your author theme. And...tada...she'll be giving away a copy of Seducing the Duchess to a lucky visitor who leaves a comment.

Elspeth on Editing

I know I send you to Elspeth Antonelli's blog It's a Mystery more often than any other, but I can't help it. When I want humor, she's got it.

This post is 10 More Lies You Tell Yourself While Editing.

What's Happening in the Pat Cave?

My Muse, Nagging Whisper, is back and she's driving me nuts.

So I'm:

Cleaning up
Clearing out
Shredding paper
Organizing Files
Dusting
Running the sweeper
I'm even going to wash the window

This will be my last round of procrastination before I begin revisions on Dead Wrong. Nagging Whisper is allowing this because she knows I can't work in this mess, and I need table space to spread out my manuscript and notepad.

Meanwhile, she's snooping around my bookcase where my chocolate is stashed. Gotta go.

Hi Pat,
Thanks for the link to MWA.
You are so ambitious! Wish I could say the same for myself. I need motivation to do some spring cleaning.

ah yes, Nasty Whisperer. She's pals with my muse, the one who brooks no nonsense - eeek.
She's not on my butt right now cuz I'm in a working groove but if I fall off - oh mama!

Good luck, Laura.

Hi Donna, my motivation is my inability to walk around my office without slipping on a pile of paper. The rest of the house can wait.

LOL, Jan -- that was some kind of Freudian slip I made there -- I usually call my muse Nagging Whisper (and I've now corrected the post). I guess I felt she was being especially mean, but maybe that's what it takes to get me back in my writing groove.

I have one load of laundry to finish and use is tapping my head to irritate me into gear. Watch that chocolate.

I have to "clean up" too before I can write! But get Dead Wrong done. I want to read it while I still can. I'm not getting any younger!

BTW, my memoir launched yesterday. It can be ordered through the publisher (the best way), and in a few weeks through Amazon. Ebook comes out in two weeks also. Would you be willing to host me in two weeks, about? I'd love that.

Looks like Katie has been in the ol' catnip and now wants that chocolate. Maybe a pizza with anchovies too. Good luck with 300 followers! I think if you bring your Follower List toward the top of your page you'll get more followers. It worked for me.

LOL, Stephen. What followers? All of a sudden I look and there's a space and title for the widget but no followers anywhere. Does anyone get the feeling this giveaway is jinxed?

Mary, I hid the chocolate again. One more minute and I'm back to the cleanup project.

Ann, I have June 9th open for a Thursday, but would also schedule you on a Monday if you want. E-mail me and we'll work it out.

I feel as if I should be sending you a present for being so kind to me and my blog. However I'm poor, so I'm sending good thoughts instead. Seriously, thanks, Pat.

I love your new title; I once did a play with the same name.

Okay, my followers are back and now I'm only three away from 300. Everybody push at the same time...

Elspeth -- Good thoughts are awesome. You did tie them with a pretty ribbon, right?

Maybe Katie Kitten will find the chocolate first! Although she really shouldn't eat it...

Wait! Wait! Before you start your revisions, please come over and procrastinate at MY house! I will provide chocolate AND coffee! Great link as always, Thanks.
