Wednesday Scramble

Thursday's guest blogger

Gerald Meunier, author of the Clay Holt thriller, Rogue Patriot, is tomorrow's guest. As Gerald tells us about his path to publication, he offers some great advice on how to get the job done.

Check out this book trailer for Rogue Patriot, and then join us tomorrow to learn how it all came about.

Ready to Make Plans for 2012?

C. Hope Clark has an excellent blog post called "What Are Your Writing Plans for 2012?" It may seem silly to be thinking about next year already, but Hope tells you why you need to plan ahead.

Should You Use RT or the Retweet Button on Twitter?

For those of you who use Twitter, this excellent question is answered by author Nathan Bransford on his blog.

Brain Freeze

I cannot think of one other thing to say.

Pat - You don't need to. That's a great question to think about (What are your 2012 writing plans?), and I am looking forward to Gerald Meunier's visit tomorrow. Thanks for the "sneak peek" :-)

2012? Good grief. That's all I have to say - except maybe, good grief again. Look, I said it.

Margot -- 2012 -- It's advice I need to follow because I have two manuscripts I should be submitting by then. It's good to have a plan, right?

Elspeth -- I know, I know. That was my first reaction, too. I'm just now graduating from planning day by day to planning week by week. :)

Could you show us how you can't think of another thing to say...instead of telling?

(Sorry...couldn't resist! Here's to the thawing of your cranium!)

I'll check out the other links.

Alex -- hey, you haven't lived until you've used Retweet.

Yes, Dean, I can. It's called my dumb look and I will demonstrate the next time we meet. :)

2012, yes, I have big plans. Also for 2011. My next four or five novels are already planning themselves in my head!

I figure my 10th novel will be pretty good. I'm up to 5 or 6 now, depending on how you count it, and with each passing book I feel the confidence grow.

So keep thinking about the future, keep thinking about the next book, and the next, and the next and next and next.

You have the right idea, Eric. Most writers have a few unpublished manuscripts sitting around the house to remind us we've worked hard and we're paying our dues. And paying...and paying...
