A Thursday in the Life of Me

Yesterday I...

Drank a lot of coffee.

Cleaned part of the house before the cleaning lady arrived to do her assigned chores.

Emptied the kitten's litterbox, washed it out, and added fresh, clean litter.

Set out a jug of sun tea to brew before the storms moved in.

Spent around three hours doing writing organization tasks.

Thought about going to the gym but didn't go.

Drank more coffee.

Thought about working on my novel revisions but didn't.

Cleared out my e-mail and checked Facebook and Twitter.

Played with the kitten and kept her in my office while the cleaning lady was working. Kitty is terrified of the vacuum sweeper.

Thought about working on a query letter for one of my manuscripts but didn't.

Shut down my computer when the storms rolled in and made chicken fajitas and sliced tomatoes for dinner.

Cleaned litterbox again because kitten developed diarrhea after dinner.

Watched So You Think You Can Dance and Big Brother on television. Zoomed through the Day 2 two-hour recording of the Tour de France in five minutes, looking for interesting scenery.

Cleaned up the litterbox two more times.

Worried about whether kitten would need to visit the vet today.

Finally got around to writing this post just before midnight.

I know, I know. My life is like a walk on the wild side.

Hi Karen -- I'm determined to do better today. Maybe if I drink more coffee...

I hope your kitten is okay.

And I agree with Karen. My day goes the same way aside from the coffee and cleaning lady. I'll just stare at my computer screen waiting for inspiration and then move off to do something else so I don't feel like I sat around all day and did nothing.

Hi Patricia .. thank you - the pop up box is wonderful .. I can comment (easily) ..

Sounds a bit like my day .. 'cept no kitten .. but mother instead who needs lots of attention!

Love you clean the house before the cleaning comes to clean - totally makes sense and don't most of us do that!

Yup - a little bit of this and a little bit of that .. I hope today goes better - though too much coffee may not be such of a good thing ..

Cheers for now .. Hilary

That's more excitement than I can stand. I frequently have days like that.

Thank you!

You have made the 1,000 words I wrote yesterday look so much better.

But PLEASE don´t ask me how much I wrote today ;)

A lot of litter scooping involved! And you cleaned for the cleaning woman?

Hehehehe I also have days like this. Where I have a lot to do, think about doing those things, but don't, because my time is sucked up by something I can't put my finger on.

I chuckled all the way and then laughed out loud at the end.

You've nailed my last week, except for the cat. I'm restless but not really purposeless, but definitely not productive in the ways I would like to be. I read a something this week, some tweet I can't remember exactly now telling how -Everyday I avoid writing a little, I pretend write a little and I actually write a little. So glad I'm not alone. Gotta go, now. I just made a fresh pot of coffee :-)

You all make me feel I'm among friends. And yes, Alex, I clean before the cleaning lady comes. Only a man would ask that question...

LOL, Pat! Yes, I've had many days like that. I hope the kitty is over her bout with diarrhea now.

Lol. There are so many things to do other than write.

Have a great weekend.

Pat, This is Saturday, a day I try not to make to do lists, a mental health day, so to speak. I loved reading about your day. Sometime I am going to make a list like you did and send it to...well, maybe not. It made me feel so accepted! Hope Kitty is OK.

You are a wild one! Leave some life for the rest of us will ya! Have to admit, I do wish I had a cat though. Instead I have 3 dogs. Two are the size of a cat and the other is the size of a horse. The horse is my nemesis. I think I'll blog about her in the future!

Katie Kitten has no other bad symptoms so I guess we'll chalk it up to an intestinal disturbance. Hopefully all will be well soon. I'm tired of litterbox duty.
