Physically Home and Totally Pooped

Conference weekends are incredible, but it's going to take me a couple more days to recover from the Colorado Gold experience in Denver.

After four hours learning about contracts in a master class, I was already on information overload. Thank goodness for a great presenter and an excellent handout. And that was just Friday morning.

To add to the weekend challenge, we were all painfully aware that Sunday was the 10th anniversary of 9/11. I think most everyone experienced the sadness of the day as well as a feeling of pride that we are strong and that we'll always try to carry on, no matter what happens.

By the time I arrived home yesterday afternoon, I was worn out. The weekend was emotional, without a doubt, but there was joy in being together with friends. Now we're home.

Yes, time once again to focus and just do it.

See you tomorrow for Chiseled in Rock Tuesday.

Pat - I'm glad you had such a wonderful experience, and I know exactly what you mean about "information overload." I'll look forward to your sharing with us what you've learned.

Totally know what you are experiencing. I've been to many a conference/convention and, while they are incredibly exhilarating, laced with high energy, great people, contacts, inspirational and packed with a high learning curve (the good ones) - I've been wiped out by the time they're over! But glad you enjoyed yourself, get some much deserved R&R now, and welcome back. :)

Welcome back! Nothing beats that first night back in your own bed. OK, maybe back in your own bed with a Dove bar.

Good morning, everyone.

It appears Blogger is doing something strange this morning. Many comments are showing up twice here, so I go in and delete one of them. When I tried to comment on another blog, my comment never showed up. Blogger gremlins are back at work.

Anyway, to respond to the conference comments, I plan to share some of the tidbits I learned in tomorrow's Chiseled in Rock post...and that's what I'm off to work on right now.

Glad you learned so much, even if it did overload your brain.

Good to hear you had a good time. I've got some special wildberry chocolate from the Oregon Coast that might help bring you back around!

This was the second year in a row that I was flying home on 9/11. i wonder if that'll happen next year?

Wildberry chocolate -- that's just what I need!

I'm not sure I could ever get myself to fly on 9/11 unless it was an emergency. Too creepy and too sad.

The one time I attended Colorado Gold I had the same exhilarating/numbing feeling by the end. Looking forward to tomorrow's post. Thanks for sharing.
