U is for Underwear: My A to Z Wish List

I wish I never had to see even the tiniest hint of another person's underwear when I'm out in public.

No thong straps above low rider jeans.

No boxers or briefs exposed by a teen's "pants on the ground."

If only one of my twenty-six wishes can be granted, Wish Genie, please make it this one.

Pat - I couldn't agree more!! I am truly not interested in the underwear that anyone else wears...

I should've mentioned bra straps too.

And that reminds me of an elderly high school teacher I once had who adjusted her bra straps at least a dozen times during every science class. But that's a whole blog post for another day.

I have no desire to know what type of underwear strangers are wearing. None. Let's all enjoy the mystery, shall we?

Out in Tenerife, where the weather is usually hot enough for strappy tops, women often make no attempt to hide their bra straps. In fact, coloured bras are part of the fashion statement and it makes sense. But knickers - that's another thing entirely - there's no justification for them. The only thing worse is "Builder's bum" with no sign of pants at all!

I knew someone would bring that up -- we call it "plumber's butt." :D

Agreed! I'm so tired of asking kids to pull up their pants!

Kudos to the town near me that has outlawed saggy pants.

The fact that a song was made to discourage youth from letting their jeans sag to the ground, allowing their back pockets to look like backwards knee pads...well, I'm with you on wishing this one comes true :-)

It's one of my pet peeves too!

Ug! I work on a college campus. I'm really sick of it to the ninth degree! The new thing with the gals is wearing something that looks like tights--and that's IT on their bottom half. *rolling eyes* I can't wait to retire so that I my eyes don't hurt no more!

Good wishes/blog post, Patricia!
