Herman the Helpful Heron

Blogging from A to Z April Challenge

The ABCs of Behavior and Emotions

Herman the Helpful Heron

You remember Herman. He was doing his best on Friday to help Eloise the Eccentric Elephant find her misplaced herd.

He was successful in locating her friends, but when he returned to the river, Eloise was gone. The only evidence he found of her demise was one great ear floating downstream like a runaway lily pad.

Herman sighed, bowed his head for a moment, and flew off to tell the herd there was no reason to wait for their friend.

But there was no time to waste. Others needed his help. He’d heard rumors about a very angry alligator in Florida, way over in North America, who clearly needed an attitude adjustment. Time to hit the road . . . er . . . sky.

Pat - You know, I was hoping you'd follow up on Herman. He sounds like he's really just trying to do things for others and I like that trait. Of course, there's a fine line between helping and meddling but I like him.

How charming. I'll have to start with A and catch up.
You write mysteries too? My favorite.
