Rebecca the Respectful Rabbit

Blogging from A to Z April Challenge

The ABCs of Behavior and Emotions

Rebecca the Respectful Rabbit

More than likely, Rebecca and Polly the Peaceful Parrot would be great friends if they lived a bit closer together. But Polly was happy in Florida and Rebecca lived with her huge family in the great state of Colorado.

So here's the thing about nice respectful bunnies who basically mind their own business, are always polite and try never to offend, impose, or be rude and push to the front of the line: no one notices them. And that's why I don't have much to tell you about Rebecca, except that I'm very sure she'd be a good and loyal friend and you'd like her very much.

Pat - Oh, I'm sure I'd like her too. In all seriousness it's important to be respectful and to be a good and loyal friend. I'll bet Rebecca is kind too. But you're right - it doesn't always get you noticed. This story reminds me of Laurel Thatcher Ulrich's quote: 'Well-behaved women seldom make history.'

Respect? I wish that was considered a virtue worth teaching children today.

That's funny! You can be all those things without becoming a doormat.

Hi Pat .. Rabbit the Respectful .. I wonder ... or do they dash to the many rabbit holes they have and don't have to worry too much ...

However I'm sure Rebecca is respectful .. and will make her mark on life .. for now she's happy to blend in ..

Cheers Hilary

I have a Rebecca, she is loyal, supportive, and always give a cheer when we are down. To all the Rebeccas - thank you so much.

Rebeccas are good friends to have, even if they don't get noticed. When they finally are noticed, everyone will wonder why they didn't pay more attnetion.

I am hoping Rebecca is not a door mat. Sometimes when you are very respectful and kind people try to take advantage. I say be kind and respectful anyway.

Rebecca sounds like a good bunny buddy.

Hey, Patricia,
She's clearly not like that "Wascally Wabbit, Bugs Bunny" and much like the Velveteen Rabbit, it seems. Every body needs a good bunny. Loved the post. Ruby
