Valencia the Vivacious Vizcacha

Blogging from A to Z April Challenge

The ABCs of Behavior and Emotions

Valencia the Vivacious Vizcacha

“Eh, Valencia baby, what you doing?” Vulmaro the Vain Vizcacha preened and posed as he waited for Valencia to notice that he was looking particularly spiffy today. He’d fluffed his long tail and brushed his whiskers. He knew he looked so fine.

Valencia hopped up on a rock and did a little happy dance. She kind of liked Vulmaro in spite of his putting on airs, but he didn’t know the right words to seduce a lady vizcacha as voluptuous and vivacious as Valencia. I mean, really, she thought, who says, “Eh, baby, what you doing?” instead of something truly sauve and debonair like, “My dear Valencia, you are the most beautiful and most spirited vizcacha I’ve ever met. Would you care to join me for a stroll?”

“Vulmaro, honey, you need to dust off your lines because you are not getting anywhere with me until you do. I have places to go, things to do, and vizcachas to see.”

She did her little happy dance all the way around Vulmaro, flipping his fluffed-up tail as she passed.

Vulmaro watched as the vivacious vizcacha of his dreams danced on down the road, a little hop here and a little hop there.

Valencia, on the other hand, didn’t even look back to see if Vulmaro was watching. She already knew. She did an extra hop and clicked her hind paws together. It was good to be alive. It was good to be happy. And it was extra good knowing a handsome fellow like Vulmaro might be thinking hard on better ways to woo her.

Pat - Oh, this one made me laugh! Any male (of any species) who starts a pick-up line with, 'Eh, Baby, what are you doing?' has got to re-think his approach!

Don't you love seeing the totally different male point of view on this one? Alex, your comment made me laugh out loud.
