The deadline is midnight (Mountain Time) Friday, May 31st.

Hart Johnson

Blogger (Confessions of a Watery Tart) and debut cozy mystery author (writing as Alyse Carlson) will be my guest on Thursday. Why did Hart choose to write a cozy when she also writes darker novels? It's all about the amateur sleuth.

How Many Ways Can I Prepare Spinach?

I have a bumper crop apparently nourished by the three late spring snows we had after planting. Spinach salad, although delicious, is getting old. One old standby is my spinach ricotta calzone which uses frozen whole wheat bread dough. Any other ideas?

Now Back to Work

I'm going to finish the last 5,000 words of my wip novel this week. Honest.

Definitely be back for Hart's post!
We use spinach in salads mixed with the lettuce.

Hi Alex -- I've been doing that too. Even added beet greens from the thinnings. Put in nuts and craisins. Bleu cheese and sunflower seeds. Regular tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. This is a major bumper crop of healthy greens...and I don't want them to go to waste.

I love spinach tossed with pasta and in a quiche. It's good on pizza too. Yumo!

Pat - Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to Hart's visit. As for the Spinach? Popular around here are white spinach pizza and spinach omelets. Oh, and I like spinach lasagne too...
