The Anti-New Year Resolution Post

I have no New Year Resolutions for you. I don't even resolve not to resolve. I'm simply going to pretend the whole idea doesn't and never did exist.

Resolutions? My habit is to make 'em and break 'em. I've been doing it that way for too many years. I quit.

I'm going into 2014 with no expectations, no schedule, no big plan, no bucket list.

Just taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly.

Going with the flow.

See what happens.

No pressure.

I hope you have a wonderful 2014, no matter how you approach it.

Happy New Year!

Resolutions were made to be broken. I set goals instead.
Hope this coming year is your best ever!

Thanks, Alex. Best wishes to you as well. I do admit to a daily To Do List, but I keep my goals very small and very manageable.

Our pastor announced some stats this morning - people under 30 are 47% likely to achieve their resolutions and those over 50, only 14%. Depressing as I am closing in on that number in 2+ years, but then again, why fight the odds?

I never set resolutions either - I just keep trying to get better and more forward. Good luck to you :)

Whatever motivates you and leaves a smile, I wish you these things. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you, too, Pat! And I completely understand what you mean about no resolutions. I've not got any either, really, and I'm content that way. Let's just see what life brings us and do our best with it.

Every time I say "No resolutions," I sigh. It feels so good!

I've decided to forgo the lofty goals and go with a theme this year. My theme is: Fear Not. We'll see where it takes me. After I sip wine this evening, of course.

Happy New Year, Pat!

Resolutions are too much like hard work. A bit more fun in 2014, I think.

I love this fresh approach to the New Year! While I did make goals for my writing, I didn't make any resolutions because I never stick with them. There is one thing that I try to do every year, and that is to live in the present, be mindful, and choose love.

Happy New Year!
