A bit of joy and a sense of humor at work

There's a park not far from my house, and on the edge of the park is a little tree that may not survive another year. It's looking small and scraggly and sad.

Someone with a sense of humor and a joyful heart turned that little tree into a smile maker. I had to stop and take a few photos. This is the view into the park.

And this shows you how close the tree is to the street, which is even better for reaching those who pass by.

I'm still smiling, just because of that little tree and the nice people who decided to decorate it.

I love those Charlie Brown trees! Made me smile, too.

April and Alex -- that's exactly what I called it as I drove by the first time. Maybe that's why it's sure to make folks smile.

Nice! I fully approve. Reminds me of my own endeavor to spice up some rather decrepit greenery: http://fantasywriterguy.blogspot.ca/2008/05/fwg-amazing-botanist.html

Hi Patricia,

That poor little tree has been decorated with joy. A nice thought for such a forlorn tree.

Love it! An orphan tree that got adopted by the community. There's a children's book in that. Get cracking, Patricia.

Awww. Yeah, wouldn't it be great if that tree came back next year because of the love and attention it got? I do like when people do stuff like this.

Now that's a happy sight. Kudos to whoever made the effort to decorate that little tree.
