As will a few friends from an online class I took in May/June, I will try to post to my blog every single day in November.
Why, you ask?
For one thing, I believe there are different readers out there in blogger world on the weekend, readers who are too busy to stop by during the week. I'd like to meet some of them.
Another reason? I'm hoping a daily blog post will lead to daily progress on my book, especially if I link the two together when I set my writing schedule. Even though I did not sign up for NaNoWriMo, I'm hoping to add 50,000 words to my novel during the month of November. That will bring me so close to the finish line that I'll surely have a solid first draft by the middle of December.
I'll also attend the Northern Colorado Writers Retreat at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch November 13-15. Last year I wrote 13,000 words at that retreat. I think I can do better this year, especially if I skip the campfire and the s'mores.
Big goals. One short month. Wish me luck.

Good luck. I decided a while back to cut out weekend blogging. It didn't increase my WIP productivity, but it did take of the self-imposed pressure of thinking of something interesting to say 5 times a week. In reality, it was only 3 times a week, because I still host guests on Tuesdays and had my Homicide Hussey posts on Fridays. But now that we've reached the end of Detective Hussey's manuscript, I have Fridays to fill again. And I notice a couple of holes in my Tuesday calendar.
Guess I need to beat the bushes for guest bloggers. Anyone here interested? :-)
If anyone is looking for a different November project, author Susan Wiggs has a "Gratitude Project" where you post 3 things you are grateful for every day in November. Doesn't matter if they're silly or profound. I did it last year, and it does make you appreciate what's going on around you.
Good luck!
(Use plenty of photos.)
Ambitious :)
Good luck.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
It sounds like a lot to tackle in one short month - good luck!
Go for it! :)

Mystery Writing is Murder
I have no doubt you will be able to complete your goal but don't skip the campfires and s'mores, life is just too short to miss out on life's simple pleasures. I wish you the best, Happy Halloween.
Good luck! I'm with you on this. I started my blog 40 some days ago and so far I've only missed one day's post (a Saturday). In my new blog experience, I discovered this NaNo thing and decided to do that as well. So in Nov I plan to blog everyday, try to meet the NaNo challenge, and follow and comment on other people's blogs. I'm not working at a regular job right now so if I treat this as my job I think I can do it. All my life I've been a writer by dream and desire, now is the time to actually become a writer by dedication and doing.
Wish me luck as well -- I'll be following your blog to see how it's going.
