The Heart of a Dragon Award is a very special award for the blogger who inspires you and/or others to go above and beyond or the blogger who helps keep us all connected. Sylvia Dickey Smith of Rules to Live By was kind enough to pass this award on to me on September 23rd. Thank you so much, Sylvia, for the award, and for the very kind words.
Here are the rules:
1. Post the award on your site with a link to the person who gave it to you.
2. Pass it on to the blogger(s) who inspire you and list why they are receiving the award.
3. Post a comment on their blog.
I am choosing to pass this award on to two writers who inspire me with their sense of adventure, their love of the written word, and their unique environments which help broaden the horizons of those who follow their blogs.
The first is Rayna M. Iyer (Bombay, India) at Coffee Rings Everywhere. If her interesting posts weren't a big enough draw, her photos will capture your attention and keep you coming back for more. Thanks, Rayna, for sharing your life with us.
The second blogger to receive the Heart of the Dragon Award is Sonia Marsh of Gutsy Writer. Again, it's Sonia's unique perspective and her fascinating environment that inspire and encourage me to step out of my comfort zone and look for adventure. I appreciate that.
Recipents of the award are invited to pass the honor along to others.

I got so busy checking out the new to me blogs you mentioned I forgot to leave a comment yesterday! Now I'm looking forward to checking out two more (notice I commented before visiting them today so I wouldn't forget). They both sound interesting.
I love the Internet. It gives us the ability to connect with people around the globe, like your cyber friend in India. Life is good. Beats watching TV anyday.

I already visit one of these bloggers, but thanks for a new one! It's wonderful to get glimpses of life everywhere around the globe.

Thank you so much, Patricia. I would have been thrilled to receive the award from anyone, but to get it from someone I admire as much as I do you is far more wonderful.
@ Stephen - I totally agree with you. Some of my closest friends today are the ones I met online. When we first encountered each other, it was the differences that drew us together, but now it is the universality of all of us that keeps us together.
Thank you so much for the Heart of the Dragon Award. When I told my husband, "I got the Dragon award today," he laughed and said, "I don't know if that sounds like a good award or not." I had to run over and read what it's about and am honored to receive it. I have not been diligent about posting awards, not because I don't like them, but because I have no idea how to keep them on my sidebar. Please give me a few days to blog about it. Thanks again.
I'll have to check out Gutsy Writer...thanks! I'm already enjoying Coffee Rings Everywhere.

Mystery Writing is Murder
Hi everyone,
Passing on all these awards has been even more fun than receiving them in the first place. It feels good to spread the word about the people and places I enjoy so much. I haven't been here responding to comments, however, because of some other exciting activities. This morning, for instance, I participated as one of the guest authors in two hours of writing, critiquing, and conversation at a teen workshop. It was quite an experience -- these young writers are amazing.
Now, I'm off to visit blogs and catch up on comments. See you bloggers in a minute.
Sweet! Seems to be a spate of dragon awards flying around Bloggydom lateley - this one is very well crafted and has a nice ring to its meaning. Well deserved, Patricia, and thanks for the leads on two other fine bloggers.

Congratulations on receiving the award, Patricia. And thanks for passing it on. Two bloggers to check out!
