The Second Mystery/Thriller book giveaway is officially open. I have a nice selection for you, so I hope you'll enter. Each is gently read and in near perfect condition. Most are signed by the author.
I apologize for once again restricting this giveaway to readers from the U.S., but the cost of mailing a box of books outside the country is quite high. Within the states, media mail is relatively speedy and very affordable.
This mystery/thriller package contains the following:
Wild Indigo by Sandi Ault (signed)
Wild Inferno by Sandi Ault (signed)
Calling the Dead by Marilyn Meredith (signed)
A Real Basket Case by Beth Groundwater (signed)
To Hell in a Handbasket by Beth Groundwater (signed)
The Witch of Agnesi by Robert Spiller (signed)
Death Roll by Marilyn Victor and Michael Allan Mallory (signed)
Isabella Moon by Laura Benedict (signed)
A Maiden's Grave by Jeffery Deaver (signed by author)
The Doomsday Key by James Rollins
How to Enter:
1. Send one (and only one) e-mail to:
info at patriciastoltey.com
(you already know you have to put the address together with the @ sign in the appropriate place so I won't explain all that). :)
2. Put "Second Book Giveaway" in the subject line.
3. Include your real name and your mailing address in the body of the e-mail. I will never give away or sell your mailing address nor will I put your address on a personal mailing list.
4. The deadline to enter this book giveaway is February 20, 2010 (official cutoff is midnight Mountain Time).
5. Any entry that does not follow the four rules listed above will be discarded.
Give it a try. You know you want to.

What a great group of books! I'm sure you'll have a ton of folks participating :)
Patricia - You chose some fabulous books!! How exciting!!
Stickler for by the book rules, hmm? LOL, cool - lemme see if I can do this right ...
Great list of books and the added bonus of them being signed by the author, how nice.
Hi Patricia,
I'm not entering because I won last go-around. The box of books arrived on Friday. Thank you so much. I've already finished THE PRAIRIE GRASS MURDERS, by none other than Patricia, and will work my way through the others. I'll also spread the word on my blog.
Thanks again,
Donna Volkenannt
Wow, a great contest with wonderful books. I predict you'll get a lot of entries.

As I said on Win a Book, this is quite the motherlode of books, my friend!
No need to enter me, as always -- stupid TBR mountain range! I'm dropping in to say thanks for the e-mail. I've got this posted at Win a Book for you.
Great idea, Patricia - I'll give it a go. But aren't you afraid these authors will be offended that you're giving their books away? It's a form of "re-gifting," I suppose. But then I have great trouble disposing of books, even those I know I'll never read again.

Julie -- I can't imagine that any author would be offended at the opportunity of reaching a new reader. And once I purchase the book, it's mine to do with as I please.
As I've moved around over the years, I've turned over a big collection of books at least three times. If I'd kept all those books, I would need a bigger house and even then I wouldn't have room for furniture.
Wow, you are so generous. I replied to your e mail as my entry. Hope you got it okay. This looks like a fabulous set of books. Thanks for the chance.
Thanks for this great opportunity! I love reading books, and I've been meaning to read some of Beth's for a while...I hope I win!
A point about Julie's comment...I make a major effort to buy the books of those author friends I meet on here. It is important to do so because it drives up their numbers and thats the only way the bookstores and publishers recognize their success. But there is another aspect to it as well-getting their name out there. When I finished Elizabeth Spann Craig's book 'Pretty is as Pretty Dies' (which I bought), I posted it on PaperbackSwap.com. It was immediately snapped up and mailed off to Connecticut or wherever. I like to think that someone loved it and passed it on to someone else, and will not buy all of Elizabeth's books! Or at least check them out at the library, therefore forcing librarians to order more copies as well! Great question, Julie!

Thanks for the great giveaway. I'm on my way to email you. I love a good mystery!
I'm planning to try my hand at a mystery next, so winning these would be great -- I could mark them up and dog ear them as much as I want! Are you planning to have copies of Prairie Grass and Desert Hedge available for sale at the conference? I would love to purchase, but was unable to do so on my e-reader (nook).
