I Wish I Could...

1. Do the Argentine Tango

2. Sing and move like Tina Turner

3. Play flamenco guitar

4. Speak Italian

5. Read my kitten's mind

6. For that matter, read my husband's mind...or maybe not.

7. Invent something useful

8. Meet the Dalai Lama

9. Grow orchids

10. Drive an Indy Race Car around the track

What about you? What do you wish you could do?

If you learn how to read a cat's mind, please let me know!

Good morning! Some wishes are like impossible dreams, while others are realistic and possible to achieve with a little effort. For me, Angela, knitting was one of the impossible dreams.

By the way, if you're on Facebook, drop by the Northern Colorado Writers page and share your hobbies on the Friday question: https://www.facebook.com/northerncoloradowriters

Play an instrument--any instrument. I'd made a mean triangle player.

This is magical, Pat! Hmmm...I wish to look up from my laptop's screen and see England out my window.

If you read your husband's mind you'd be shocked there's nothing there. (Meaning we really don't think all that much.)

I'm enjoying these comments even more than I enjoyed writing the post (and I'm getting more ideas for more wishes).

LOL Alex -- In that case, I'll stick with trying to read the kitten's mind.

Patricia, you're hilarious. I love this list.

And hmmm, I wish I could...understand what my dogs are trying to tell me. I think they want me to turn the AC up, but they could just want a treat.

Great list. I sometimes wish I could read my cat's mind too.

Get a good night´s sleep. No, really, write (& sell) a terrific crime story; just being tired & grumpy today.

Hi Pat:

I LOVE this list. But I have a feeling reading your kitty's mind might be much scarier than reading your husband's.

I'd like to add to the sing like Tina Turner too. Sing like her and have her legs. That woman can pull off a mini skirt at any age.

For sure I wish for a top agent to sell one of my novels to a big publisher who turns that novel into a block buster bestseller. And now I'm going to sing a chorus of "To Dream the Impossible Dream."

Jacqueline Seewald
THE TRUTH SLEUTH--thanks Pat for requesting the novel at your local library!

Wonderful list, Pat.

Oh, yeah, if I had legs like Tina Turner I could wear shorts and skirts again. :)

hmmm...I wish I could fly. And knit really complicated lace patterns and sing in key and not be allergic to mother nature and be as industrious as my hens....

I wish I was fluent in another language.
I wish I could consistently make fabulous homemade bread.
I wish I twitch my nose like Samantha in Bewitched and my house would be instantly cleaned.

Looks like 5 and 6 may be the toughest, but who knows. Might be possible. The others, certainly not out of reach, if you really want to achieve them.

The only thing that keeping you from doing any one of those 10 is that you are choosing to do something else instead. Nothing wrong with that, just the choice you are making now.

Looks like you've got a great couple of years ahead of you, if you choose to get through that list!

So many fun wishes from everyone.

But in spite of what Dean says, I absolutely and positively will never be able to sing and move like Tina Turner no matter how many years I try. Honest!
