1. That I should take more than a week off from blogging during the holidays,
so I'm going to be on blog-holiday from Wednesday, December 22 through Tuesday, January 3rd (although I'll have something short and sweet at Chiseled in Rock on the 2nd).
2. That I've let my To Do List grow too long again,
so I'm going to cross a few things off. I didn't say I was going to do the tasks, I just said I was going to cross them off the list. With a red pen.
3. That I'm dying to get back to my NaNoWriMo novel even though I have tons of stuff to do before my company comes on the 23rd,
so I'm going to treat myself to a whole weekend of writing time on Saturday and Sunday.
4. That I don't play any of my CDs anymore,
so I'm going to spend an hour or more each evening in my thinking chair listening to great music. I'm going to start with the score of Phantom of the Opera.
5. That my office still looks like it was rifled by a team of burglars looking for my stash of dark chocolate,
so I'm heading for Office Depot this afternoon to finally purchase the needed storage shelves.
6. That I haven't fixed homemade pizza for ages,
so that's what I'm fixing for supper (with onions, mushrooms, spinach, and two kinds of cheese).
7. That I haven't finished my Christmas shopping,
so there are quite a few people who are going to get gift cards this year. I'm fine with that. :)

Pat - You richly deserve a blog holiday, so I hope you enjoy it thoroughly! And as for your office space? You should see mine ;-). And you know what? Lots of people love gift cards.
Homemade pizza sounds good! My last post will be December 21 and then I'll be off for almost a week.
I'm thinking of taking one too. I need to catch up on things and it would be nice to do so with a break.
I'm thinking the last two weeks of December are going to be very quiet around the blogosphere.
Have a great holiday and get that shopping done! :)
I'm sure those who receive gift cards will be happy, too.
Patricia, I remember reading a similar post a couple of years ago. Isn't it nice that we set goals at this time of year. happy cleaning up!
You'll end up humming "Music of the Night" in the middle of the night. You've been warned.
Hi everyone, I'm running around doing stuff today so won't be online much until this evening. A nod to Gutsy Living for remembering a similar post I did last year about this time. Some of the items are different...but the cluttered office goes on and on. :)
And yes, Elspeth, Music of the Night just won't stop.
Sounds like you've resolved some things very nicely! Storage baskets/bins are great for organizing things, and most people appreciate gift cards, so you're good. listen to music, write, think, and enjoy your blogging holiday!!!!
I was just thinking how much I owe you for your help with my wriitng, how great you are for NCW and all the members there, and how much I cherish having you as a friend!
Take your break, enjoy your family and know you are appreciated and loved by those around you!
Thanks for encouraging comments, everyone. Looks like a lot of my blogger friends will be taking a little time off this holiday season, and I think that's a great trend.
Aw, shucks, Dean. It warn't nothing. Seriously, though, I'm so glad you're a part of NCW and a friend too. My life is better just because you're in it.
Patricia,
This is a very good list. You're lucky you're dying to get back to your NaNoWriMo novel. I'm not. I'm taking a break and not looking at it until next year. Sounds like a lot of time, but I guess it isn't!
I'm hoping to take off for a week or two. We will all meet back up at the start of 2012. :)
That's almost a teacher's holiday! We've got an extra two days on you, though. We return January 5th.
Have a great blogcation. By the way great post, I feel like I can relate.
