I'm making a few changes in my schedule so I can get down to the business of writing.
First of all, I'm giving up the "Three Authors, Three Questions" feature for Chiseled in Rock blog. It was a major time eater. I'll miss the author contacts, but I'll totally enjoy the blocks of time I add to my writing plan.
I'm clearing as much as possible off my calendar for November because I'm going to do NaNoWriMo again.
And finally, I'm going to write as many of my own blog posts in advance and finish as many of my half-completed projects as possible before October 1st.
And that means I better get to work.
Right after I attend my son's wedding in Las Vegas; attend New West Fest in Fort Collins; attend the Fine Arts Festival at Gardens at Spring Creek in Fort Collins; take a bunch of flower photos at the Colorado State University Trial Gardens; submit to, do critiques for, and attend four writers' group meetings; attend the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Colorado Gold Conference; celebrate my husband's birthday; and attend the Rocky Mountain Irish Festival in Fort Collins. Also, tend to my garden and its produce, cook, clean, care for Katie Cat, and take a lot of naps.
I'll start by taking one of those naps this afternoon.

Now I'm going to go take a nap!
Pat - Good for you to focus on your writing! I think authors need to be proactive about that. It sounds like you've got some exciting things coming up too; I hope it all goes well.
Wow! You have a lot to do. I wish you the best with making time for all those and still managing to make time for writing, I know that you will manage it. You are truly super woman.
What a programme! I am trying to finish an edit of a novel before I make my first ever visit to Canada at the end of September to see my youngest child who moved there last year. The rest of my programme would take too much space to tell you!
Okay, oldest son successfully and happily wedded to a lovely gal he's known since first grade. The ceremony was at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Vegas and I cried. I guess once a mom, always a mom.
Congratulations to the proud mom! And I thought I had a lot to do with a new book coming out....
Hi Pat .. sounds like you're organised and know your own route - enjoy .. I think the next post is the congratulatory one in Las V ..
Enjoy the autumn and winter and good luck with it all .. cheers Hilary
Hi Pat,
What a momentous trip! You did a lot in 16 hours. You always do a lot though. Good luck on all the goals you are setting for work. I like the nap one the best. Thanks for the nice note about my sister's book. It is really a precious story.Pam
