My window looked out over the river, so I had the sound of rushing water as white noise during the day and to soothe me to sleep at night. This is where I did all of my writing, unless...
I was eating or socializing and sampling from one of these
Or attending a round-up meeting
Or enjoying the fresh crisp air outside
Or just taking pictures for fun.
Regardless of how often I played or ate instead of writing, I still got a lot done and came away motivated and re-energized. Once again, the retreat was a great success.

If I'd indulged in the second photo's items, I wouldn't have written much.
Oh, I long for this kind of retreat. Hoping that I'll get more plugged in to what's available in Colorado. Being on the western slope, in a small town, I feel so isolated! Thanks for sharing your experience.
I am officially green with envy!
Looks like a wonderful place! So nice to have a get-away like that.
Pat - It really looks as though you had a great time! And in a beautiful spot, too. I hope your visit with your mother went well.
Beautiful place. And wine - perfect!
I really must must MUST do one of these writers' retreats someday...even if I do it on my own!
It was great to share my first retreat with you at SDR...and all the other great writers who were there, too.
Looking forward to next year. I know you'll be there!
(Sorry I didn't leave you more wine.)
