O is for Out of Order and Oatman, Arizona

I'm out of order.

I'm coughing, have a very sore throat, am sneezing and dripping, and my sinuses are trying burst my head open from the inside. My teeth even hurt. My apologies for taking the easy way out today, but I plan to spend another day on the couch, drinking hot tea and lots of water and napping (not to mention the hacking, sneezing, dripping and whining).

To keep to my travel theme, however, I would like to refer you to a previous post I wrote about Oatman, the ghostly touristy gold mining town in NW Arizona that I used for part of the setting of The Desert Hedge Murders. It's nice and short.

Pat - I am so sorry to hear you're sick! Take care of you and I hope you feel better soon. And thanks for the reminder of that great Oatman post!

Nice photos around Oatman.

Plenty of rest and fluids is what you need. Hope you get well soon.

Get well soon Patricia, nothing is worse then when the sinus's play up. Take care and have plenty of rest.

Hope you get to feeling better real soon. Oatman is a strange and fascinating place. I took my wife there in the summer of 2009 as we took the long way home from Las Vegas. She was not overly thrilled with it, but she tends to prefer either more urban areas. Oatman was a little too rustic for her.

I recognized Oatman from Desert Hedge Murders as soon as I saw the word. Your next book is on my TBR list. Gotta make it through this A to Z Challenge first though.

Sorry you're feeling awful. Colds can make you so miserable. Hope you're better soon.

I've used Oatman in several books...disguised ("Mr. Monk in Trouble") and undisguised ("Diagnosis Murder: The Dead Letter" and "Mr. Monk on the Road"). It's a great setting.
