One of our fine (and award-winning) Colorado authors, Tom Piccirilli, is scheduled for surgery on Monday, October 1st, to remove a large brain tumor. After that, he faces radiation and chemotherapy.
There will be fundraisers and other ways to help Tom and his family as time goes on, but for now, he needs our prayers for successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
If you want to learn more about Tom, he was one of our guests for "Three Authors, Three Questions" at Chiseled in Rock in May, and I've mentioned his talent and his outstanding novels on this blog as well. I highly recommend his most recent release, The Last Kind Words, published in hardcover by Bantam. You can also visit his website.
If you want to show additional support for Tom, join his fans and friends and buy a book. Whether you go to amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, or your favorite indie store (like Old Firehouse Books in Fort Collins, CO), you'll find a collection of well written novels in horror and in mystery/thriller genres.
Update: There's an Indigogo site set up by Tom's niece for contributions toward medical expenses. If you're interested in donating, here's the link: http://www.indiegogo.com/TomPiccirilli.
